moladi  - SABS water penetration test

Water penetration test - Test is carried out by taking into consideration the worst-case scenario in South Africa. The standard of this test method is based on the city of Cape Towns rainfall of 1,000-mm per annum, a wind speed of 30 meters per second and is conducted over a 24-hour period.  The test results have certified the walls are waterproof.

Soft body impact test - Test is carried out by slamming a 30 kg bag, by means of a pendulum, against the surface of the wall. To meet the serviceability criteria the bag is released with a height of swing at 900 mm above the point of impact. To meet the safety criteria, the bag is released from a height of 1800 mm above the point of impact. After each impact test was carried out the walls were inspected for any sign of cracking, surface damage or collapse. There was no damage.

Hard or Chisel impact test - Test is carried out with two consecutive strikes of a chisel, which is released from a height of 375 mm above the floor level. Just above the point of impact a slight indentation of less than 3 mm was visible.
